We visit the famous castle again Chateau de la Motte Husson, where Dick and Angel Strawbridge live. Here we spend a whole day with the family and are pampered from morning to night. In addition, we visit another unique place: Bourgon Castle. This beautiful, authentic medieval castle is run by the most charming host couple. The trip is with 6 nights this time, so we have a whole extra day where we have arranged a trip to a cozy medieval town. This time the price includes. catering on the bus both out and back, as well as at the hotel on the outbound trip.
Preliminary Itinerary
Monday - driving day
We start the trip early Monday morning, where you can board the bus either in Randers or Vejle. A goodie bag awaits everyone at the seat, with breakfast and small surprises. Along the way we take a lunch break – we have homemade food for the whole group. In the evening we arrive at the hotel in Liège, where dinner is included in the price.
Tuesday - driving day
After a good night's sleep and breakfast, we continue towards Laval, where we check into a hotel in the city center for the evening. In the evening, there is free time to explore Laval and eat at one of the cozy restaurants.
Wednesday – Château de Bourgon
After breakfast, you have the morning free to relax, shop or take a walk in Laval city – everything is within walking distance from the hotel. Lunch is on your own this day. At 14 pm the bus picks us up and drives us through the beautiful countryside to Bourgon Castle. Here we are welcomed by the lovely hosts, Isabelle and Alain, with bubbles and snacks. We get a guided tour both inside and out, followed by a 3-4 course candlelit dinner, accompanied by festive piano music. Late in the evening the bus takes us back to Laval.
Thursday – Château de la Motte Husson
After breakfast we will be driven to Chateau de la Motte Husson, where Dick and Angel have prepared a special program just for us. We start with champagne in teacups with a touch of freshly squeezed orange juice, accompanied by light snacks. You will receive a warm welcome hug, a gift, and the couple will talk about their life in France and the making of the TV series “He, She and the Dream Castle”. We will then split into two groups: A guided “Angel tour” through the castle’s six floors – and a “Dick tour” in the beautiful, walled garden and around the moat. At 12:30-14:30 we will enjoy a sumptuous 7-course lunch in the castle’s Art Deco orangery, with plenty of food, drinks and access to the “Van de Vin” bar bus. After lunch, the groups will switch places. The day will end with beautiful cakes, tea and coffee, and plenty of opportunity to take pictures and talk to Dick and Angel.
Friday - Sainte-Suzanne
After breakfast, we board the bus and visit the small, charming medieval town. Sainte-Suzanne, known for its breathtaking views and cozy streets. We have lunch at a French restaurant. The evening is free in Laval.
Saturday - driving day
After breakfast and check-out, we drive to Tongeren in Belgium, where we stay overnight. The evening offers time to explore the city and find a place to eat on your own.
Sunday - race and driving day
For those who are up early, there is the opportunity to visit the local flea market, which can be found in many of the city's streets, before we set off for Denmark. We will serve lunch and dinner on the bus, and we expect to be home late Sunday evening.
