Chocolate cake

This chocolate cake is the whole family's favorite and a recipe we use "always" - it's really easy, quick and cheap to make - and it tastes really good. It stays delicious and spongy for a very long time. You don't actually need to add ganache, it also tastes great without it.

In the movie I make made double portion of this. It makes two large cakes, or fits a whole baking pan.

4 eggs
400 g. sugar
400 g flour
200 g. margarine/butter
100 g cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1. tsp. vanilla
5 dl. orange juice

for topping:

1/4 whipping cream
100 g chocolate, I used one with orange flavor
50 g chopped almonds
a little cocoa powder

Beat the eggs and sugar well until it becomes thick and light. Melt the margarine and add it (liquid can also easily be used), sift in the flour and cocoa and add the rest of the ingredients and stir it all together. Can be done on the machine all if you like. I just didn't have room in the mixing bowl for the kitchen machine because I made a double portion.. :) Put baking paper in a form, either a round spring form or a small baking pan approximately 30x40 cm. Double portion fits a whole roasting pan. If you make it, remember to grease the baking pan before you pour the batter into it. Bake at 175 degrees normal. oven / 170 degrees hot air for approximately 50 minutes. Check with a toothpick whether it is baked. There must not be any dough on the stick, then it should take a little longer.
