Flowers and gardening from the magazine Jeanne d'Arc Living
Flowers and gardens have a magical ability to bring joy, beauty and tranquility into our lives. Whether it's a small balcony garden, a lush backyard, a flower meadow or large flower beds, a small piece of nature can bring a sense of peace and harmony. This regardless of whether you are a geeky gardener with many years of experience, or a complete beginner. I've never had much of a knack for gardening myself or a geek about plant names and compositions. However, I have always loved staying there and decorating it, with small cozy rooms and space for relaxation. Jars with flowers and smaller beds gradually crept in. For me, a garden is also a place of both wonder and discovery. From the first sprouts in the spring to the colorful autumn leaves, there is always something new to see and experience in my garden. It is exciting to see the plants grow and develop over time, and it is a learning experience to observe nature up close. Although I often don't have great success with either the herb garden or the flower beds, it brings me an incredible amount of joy and every year I jump confidently into new challenges in the garden. The joy when you manage to grow a few carrots or flowers for a small bouquet is endless! Spending time outdoors among flowers and plants is incredibly calming and almost therapeutic. For me, it is a good way, a way to get away from everyday stress and worries and find inner peace and harmony. Over the years I get better and better at both growing and looking after my garden and using everything from there for bouquets, wreaths and decorations - which is also a big part of the joy. It is impressive what can be collected and transformed into the most beautiful creations. The garden is also an important part of our ecosystem. They attract bees, butterflies and other insects that are essential for pollination and plant life, which many have thankfully become aware of in recent years. Through our care of gardens, we can contribute to preserving and promoting biodiversity and creating a more sustainable environment.
