You can't help but slow down and enjoy the moment in this beautiful place. - and now we would like to share it with you. Take the ferry to Ærø, hop on the free bus, and let your shoulders drop. The program begins when we meet at Gravendal at 2:00 p.m. Mette Melgaard, who is a trained chef and host at Gravendal, works her magic in the kitchen every day and serves simple, sensual and tasty food. Welcome to Mette at Gravendal. We land, settle into our rooms and meet for snacks and a quiet, guided walk in the area.
Welcome dinner by the fire
We gather around the flames for dinner and cozy fellowship.
Knitting café with Mette Helweg
A quiet and atmospheric end to the day for those who want to.
Wednesday
Morning bathing for the early risers
Sea dip with bubbles and/or hot drinks, followed by homemade breakfast.
iPhone photography course for beginners
With Tine Gertsen, who introduces you to the good look and simple techniques.
Sourdough course with Mette Melgaard
Learn how to work with sourdough and get tips for good bread.
Lunch
Snowshoeing in nature
Mette Melgaard shares her knowledge of wild herbs and teaches you how to gather with respect for nature.
Cooking course
We use the gathered herbs in the kitchen and prepare the food for the communal dinner together.
Thursday
Morning bath and breakfast
Excursion to Ærøskøbing
Walk through the narrow, cozy streets with the iconic bathhouses and small shops. Time for shopping and lunch on your own.
Flowers and table setting
Back at Gravendal, we go out with Janne Toftegaard to collect flowers. You learn to use natural materials and tie a bouquet to the table.
There will also be the opportunity for a fabric printing workshop, where we will learn the technique and make our own napkins for the table. Together we will set a beautiful table with everything we have created.
Evening dinner by candlelight
In the garden under the big trees or in the beautiful barn, depending on the weather. The evening also offers an intimate concert and drinks.
Friday
We round off the days with a shared breakfast, say thank you for this time and take the bus and ferry back to Funen.

The trip is organized by Vivian Christensen and Tine Gertsen. Instructors are Mette Melgaard, Mette Helweg and Janne Toftegaard.
The tour is carried out with a minimum of 10 participants. We are a member of the travel guarantee fund. Registration is binding and non-refundable. Special dietary requirements cannot be accommodated on this tour.
