I have used:
An old flour sack
Stencil from Cadence
Black Hybrid Acrylic Paint from Cadence
Stencil spray
Stencil brush/or sponge
Glass plate/or plastic bag

Here's how you do it:
In order for the text to be in the middle, it is important to cut the fabric to fit the size of the cushion. Sew the cushion so that you know where you want the print. Put plastic inside so that the color only stays on the front, and make sure it doesn't crease. Use stencil spray on the back of your stencil so that the motif sits completely close to the fabric (this prevents the color from bleeding through). Place the stencil on and press it firmly. I used a glass plate to put inside, because then I could also press down on the stencil well. Now you apply the paint, using light pressure. You don't need too much on the brush or sponge, as it is better to dab several times in the same place for a nicer result.
