Beautiful Easter figures

It is not easy to find old Easter decorations that are worth the money. We love the old, authentic look with lots of patina, so when we can't find it, we have to do it ourselves. Here it is again Janne, who has made beautiful, simple eggs and chickens for inspiration.

What you need:

Cardboard, from a cardboard box or similar
Gypsum gauze
Water
Antique Wax, "Light brown"
Dresden decorations
Old buttons
Band
Pages from an old book.

Here's how you do it:

Cut eggs and chicks out of cardboard. Cut the plaster gauze into smaller pieces, dip it in water and cover the cardboard eggs and chicks with the wet gauze. When the plaster is dry, glue buttons, ribbons, text and dresden decorations on with a glue gun. You then patinate your eggs and chickens with the wax. Apply it where you think it will look most natural. Use a pair of pliers to make holes so that you can insert string and hang things up.
