Rustic Easter lamb

Make yourself a cozy, quirky Easter lamb to hang as a decoration. Here I have chosen to make it in shades of brown, but you can easily tie a yellow bow around the lamb's neck if you wish.
You will need:
Cardboard or cardboard from a cardboard box for template
Packing twine, the stuff used to seal water pipe joints
A piece of linen canvas
Branches as legs, here they are branches from a morel tree, but other brown branches can be used
Brown wax
Small rusty bell and a sprig of thyme
Brown steel wire for making suspensions
Scissors, brush and a large needle or awl
Glue gun or wood glue
Possibly sewing machine
Draw the basic model on your cardboard:
Two oval pieces for body 14 cm in length.
Two oval pieces for the neck, 8 cm in length.
A triangle for the head 6 cm in length.
A triangle for the ear about 4 cm in length.
Once you have cut out all the parts, you start by making the head for your lamb. Here you need to sew a bag where you can put the head part into. Draw an outline for the head and sew it on the machine. Leave the back part open and turn the bag around. Put the triangle of cardboard inside, so that this becomes the head. The ear is sewn in the same way as the head, here you can also put cardboard inside, but it is not necessary, as the ear does not need to be stiff in the same way as the head.
Patina the parts with the brown wax. Glue the four legs onto one body piece, with the glue gun, and glue the other body piece on top. Glue both neck pieces onto each side of the body piece. Glue the head between the two neck pieces, and glue the ear on as well. I only put one ear on one side, as the lamb is supposed to hang up so the back is not visible.
Cut a small strip of linen and glue it to the body as a tail. Now you make tufts of the yarn and glue it to the whole lamb, like wool. Poke two holes at the top with the large needle or awl and insert steel wire as a hanger. Dab the whole lamb with the brown wax and tie a strip of linen around the neck as a decoration. Put a rusty bell and a small sprig of thyme on the ribbon and your lamb is finished.
