Rustic Easter birds made of cardboard

These birds are very easy to make and require almost no materials to make. They are made from cardboard from a cardboard box that we can all get our hands on, and some coarse yarn.

What you need:
Cardboard from a cardboard box.
A remnant of white paint.
Coarse cord, here I have used wool yarn.
Glue, or glue gun.
Scissors, needle and brush

Here's how you do it:
Start by making a template for your bird. Then tear off the top layer of the cardboard so that it has a rough surface that gives a rustic look. Now you cut out your birds, cut half mirrored so that you have both sides of your birds. Paint them sloppily with the white paint. When they are dry, glue them together two by two so that they are the same on each side. Now you can put string in and either hang them on a branch or make a garland with them like I have done here.

Enjoy!
