Rustic wall with paint
This wall is a complete work of art and the technique can be used on everything from walls to furniture and figures where you want to create a "wrong" look. First, paint the wall with a brownish color. When it's dry, you can start playing with the colors, and here we've used two shades of turquoise blue. Apply the paint with a brush in a criss-cross pattern, just like you see in the picture. The colors may well overlap each other a little, and you must make some splashes in a few places on the wall. Finally, leave some areas brown as well. Then dab with a natural sponge so that the colors are mixed and the transitions blurred. Mix water into the remaining paint and now dab again here and there so that the tones become even more blurred. The water should run a little. REMEMBER to cover the floor well before you start!
To get some of the paint to run, we used a spray bottle with water, which we sprayed in individual places. You have to try your hand at it. Remember that you can always change the "picture" by wiping over with the cloth or painting again if you are not satisfied. It is important that you have plenty of patience throughout the process. We constantly checked the project from different angles and distances, adding a touch of paint where it was lacking. You can create even more play of color on the wall if you dab some wax on, possibly bronze wax and/or brown wax.
Have fun creating your own artistic and rustic wall!
