Rustic column & light

By Jayne Daimo

I found this one at a flea market. You can also use a candlestick as a pillar, and a cup or small glass on top. You can also just transform something else you're tired of looking at, because it's a technique that can be used on anything.

What you need:
Something you want to give a concrete look, I used my pillar & a battery light.
Glue, Cadence Heavy Body (If you need to assemble a column with something on top, use a strong glue)
Cadence Concrete effect
Cadence Stone paste in a Mould green color
Antique Powder in white
Brush or sponge to dab concrete with
Nature cord

Here's how you do it:
Glue the column and bowl together
Start dabbing concrete onto the light while the column is drying.
When the column is dry, dab concrete on it
When the concrete is dry, dab a little of the green on the edges and a little here and there.
Finally, dry brush with the white (very carefully)
Now you can tie natural twine around your project.

My flea market find is from Brokante flea market in Ullerslev. The paint/effects are from Det kreative Univers.
