Cleaning brushes with motif

Spring symbolizes optimism and renewal. One of the things we often do in spring is deep cleaning – and sometimes you need cleaning brushes for the purpose.

Here's how you do it:
To make cleaning a little more colorful, I painted these cleaning brushes that I bought at the supermarket. I added a little brown paint along the edges to give them a worn look, and then I applied a spring motif – either as a transfer or decoupage with a napkin. Finally, I varnished the whole thing with clear varnish so that the brushes can withstand water, if you want to use them for washing vegetables or potatoes, for example.
