Personal paper bags
Turn ordinary paper bags into nostalgic souvenirs with this simple and creative DIY project from Silvia LOS MIMI'S ARMOIRE here have made.
You will need:
Paper bags
Printed vintage photos of family or friends (sepia or black and white work best)
Lace or ribbon
Lim
Black tea or coffee
A container for tea/coffee
A towel for drying
Print your photos on plain white paper. Prepare a strong brew of black tea or coffee, then briefly dip the printed photos into the liquid - just a few seconds. The longer you soak them, the darker the effect. For an antique look, you can also dip the lace/ribbon in tea or coffee and even add a subtle, textured effect by lightly sprinkling tea or coffee onto the bags with an old toothbrush.
Place everything on a towel to dry. Once dry, glue the vintage photos onto the paper bags. Add a personal touch by decorating with lace, ribbon or small pearls if you like, or keep it simple this way.
To close, punch a small hole in the bag and then thread the lace or ribbon through.
You can use this method for larger bags or get creative by using old magazine or book pages instead of printed photos - no extra printing needed!
This easy project brings a touch of timeless charm to everyday paper bags and turns them into personal, decorative treasures. Perfect for gifting or organizing. It adds a unique, vintage flair to any occasion.
