Make fine "feathers"

You can make these cute feathers from yarn, rope or jute cord, which have many uses. It's nice to sit and tinker with when the urge for creativity comes over you. All you need is some string, a small stick and scissors. Tie a string to a stick. then cut two pieces of twine, approximately 8 cm long. Tie the two pieces of string, as shown below, like a Robin's knot and tighten. Continue in the same way all the way. Finish by tying a regular knot at the bottom. Loosen the yarn a little so that the individual threads come out more and the feather becomes more bushy. Cut it to the desired shape.
