Soft balls of old towels

In thrift stores you can find the finest used towels in all sorts of nice shades, which are perfect for sewing decorations for the children's room. Here I have sewn nice balls that you can make in many different sizes. They are nice as decorations, but can also be used to play with. The garland is nice as a decoration on a hook or to hang from the ceiling.

You will need:
Towels in several shades.
Pillow filling for the balls.
Rustic string for the garland.
Cardboard or paper to draw a template.
Sewing machine.
Scissors, sewing thread, needle etc.

Here I found a free template online, printed it out and transferred it to a piece of cardboard. I enlarged the template so that it measures approx. 8 cm in width and 25 cm in length. The finished ball is approx. 17 cm in height. Now you cut out 6 pieces in mixed colors and sew them together on a sewing machine. The last part, you only sew halfway up, so that you can turn the ball inside out and fill it with the pillow filling. You need to stuff quite a lot of filling in, so that the balls are firm. Now you sew the opening together by hand with a sewing thread that matches the color.
