Be my Valentine

It's almost Valentine's Day and what could be more appropriate than making a nice card and sending it to your chosen one. Here we give you some inspiration for creative cards and a Cupid's Arrow that you can easily make yourself. You also get a little instruction on how to make the nice heart decoration that you can see in the background.

Map

The homemade Valentine card/place card is assembled from several layers of paper. Old newsprint and handmade paper in different colors are used here. Cream and pink. A piece of newspaper is cut to the desired size. On this we have glued a smaller piece of paper. We have glued fine laminate on the edge. Small hearts are torn out of pink, handmade paper and newsprint which are also glued on, along with a small text. At the edge of the card, we have added a strip of crepe paper that is laid in small folds. On the back there is room for a small personal and loving greeting.

Cupid's arrow

Cut a piece of strong steel wire and a heart from cardboard or paper. Glue the heart to the wire at one end. at the other end you glue a couple of feathers. Wrap silk ribbon around the steel wire at the end. 

 Heart with roses

The sweet little envelope heart is made with a base in water-saturated green oasis, which is cut out into a small heart. The small bouquet roses are cut very short and stuck in the oasis so that it holds the heart shape. A few leaves from the heart vine (ceropegia) lie across the roses.
