Advent wreath with white roses and a touch of glitter.

Janne from Anno 1808 has made this beautiful wreath, which we show you step by step how to make.

There's something special about making your own Advent wreath. The scent of fir and eucalyptus, soft rose petals and small details that sparkle in the light create just the right Christmas atmosphere. This wreath is easy to make – and it stays beautiful all December without falling apart.

What you need:

• A straw wreath

• 4 candle holders (green plastic ones used here)

• 4 lilies

• White paper or white fabric

• White roses (approx. 10 pcs.)

• Eucalyptus (preferably two different kinds)

• Wind Witch – fresh or dried

• Dried flowers such as hare's tails (Lagurus) or, for example, tillandsia moss

• Kogler

• Gray cypress

• White, dried peppercorns

• Silver glitter

• Spray glue or hairspray

• Winding thread, floral thread, Roman pins and possibly glue gun

Here's how you do it:

1. Prepare the wreath
   Wrap white paper or fabric around the straw wreath to hide the yellow color. When the wreath dries, the white base will look much nicer.

2. Prepare flowers and cones
   Cut the roses off the stems and thread the heads with green floral wire – this will make them easy to tie and turn as you wish. Do the same with the pine cones by threading them at the bottom.

3. Tie small bouquets
   Make small bundles of eucalyptus, roses, cypress and dried flowers. Tie them onto the wreath one by one, all the way around, so that it is covered and has a full look.

4. Finish nicely
   When you reach the end, weave the last bundles under the beginning so that the end is invisible. Secure the thread securely.

5. Put the small details
   Attach bouquets of dried peppercorns with bobby pins or glue them on. Spray lightly with glue or hairspray, and sprinkle with silver glitter for a beautiful, wintery effect.

6. Turn on the lights.
   Press the candle holders down into the wreath and insert the candles.

A living expression throughout December

The wreath will dry out over time, but that's what gives it charm and character. The roses will darken a bit, but can easily be refreshed with a little extra glitter. After a few weeks, you can also add more decorations with a glue gun if you want to give it new life. Then your Advent wreath is ready to spread coziness in your home all December.
