With a view to the lake

I love my terrace by the lake. It's my little paradise. The terrace is made exactly here, because this is where the sun shines the longest on our plot. Here we often sit with a cup of evening coffee or a glass of wine and enjoy the very last glimpses of the sun. The large trees mean that there is often shelter here, and then there is the view over the lake with lots of brook trout jumping, and ducks and birds.

In the years we have had the terrace, we have experimented with different furniture but have ended up with a dining area. Even though it is a bit far from the house, we like to use a little extra energy to carry food and drink up here. It's a bit like going on a trip. We have a tow truck that we fill up with everything we need. Cushions and blankets can lie nice and dry in the small shed that we have in connection with the terrace. Then they are easy to find. The pergola is new and we plan to make a piece of fabric that can be put on to provide shade when the sun is baking and lunch is to be enjoyed.
