Autumn in the garden…

Autumn is fast approaching now. Summer has kept its hold on us longer than usual, but now there is no way around it. It's waiting just around the corner. The garden and the florists abound with pumpkins and other beautiful autumnal things.. Here I give you a few beautiful pictures with ideas for how you can decorate outside in the next months. Sandstone jars and old clay pots, among other things filled with house onions, sct. his herb and Christmas roses. Put together in small arrangements together with green pumpkins and lanterns. Can be placed on a table, a bench or on the stairs, outside your house or apartment. It is a lovely welcome to give yourself and your guests.

Speaking of guests… I came across a piece by Emma Gad that we featured in one of the first issues of the magazine, back in 2009, that might bear sharing again:

"In the end, it doesn't matter whether you have baked the cakes yourself or bought them in pieces. What it depends on is the heart layer. The atmosphere, the mood, this indefinable thing that makes you feel like you're in one place. When you feel comfortable in a home, you have an instinctive feeling that you are welcome and that hospitality is a real joy for the host and hostess".

How "spot on" it is and what it's all about. I want to make sure that my guests feel welcome in my home at any time - and I'd like to pick up a cake from the baker!

Hugs from Vivian
