Bouquets in jars

Create the most sumptuous plantings in your pots in the garden. Yes, it almost turns into the most beautiful bouquets, just not in vases. It's fun and extremely creative. At the same time, it is also easy. The secret lies in the choice of plants. To create these amazing plantings, you need to make them in very large pots or other plant containers. They don't have to be that deep, but the diameter of the pot must be large. It is important that there are holes in the bottom of the pot so that the plants do not drown if they get too much water or it rains.

Selection of Plants
Start by choosing an eye-catcher for the center of the pot. It can be lupine, foxglove and primrose, but lots of other summer flowers and perennials can also be used. A rose that is not too big will also do well. It just has to be an eye-catching flower, which has a maximum height of 70-80 centimeters. Choose plants that bloom for a long time. It can be summer flowers, herbs and perennials with a long flowering period. Find plants that complement each other well. There may be some that are conspicuous and some that are more discreet. Choose plants with beautiful foliage and beautiful leaves. You can also use vegetables here. There are many beautiful ones to choose from. What is also important is to choose plants with different leaves and foliage. This applies to both colour, but also shape and form.

Decide on a color attitude and stick to it! If you choose purple, then you only buy plants with purple flowers. You can then play with the colors of the foliage and leaves of the plants. Here you can create great tension in your planting. You can also choose to make a two-coloured jar. For example, it could be delicate pink or white flowers together with plants with burgundy colored flowers, foliage and leaves.

Seductive Purple
Here we have planted two large rustic pots with lots of purple flowers. To create excitement, we have added plants with burgundy, green and gray leaves. It gives a fantastic effect. The beautiful leafy plants develop differently during the summer and help to keep the pots looking beautiful.

Graceful and Romantic
You will need: 1 pink thimble, 3 pink lavender, 3 pink butterfly flowers, 3 pink stuffed petunias, 3 silver kidney sedge, 3 Helichrysum petiolare and 3 ditch-side sweet screen. We collected these seeds from last summer and sowed them indoors in February. Here you can use all kinds of white screen plants.

How to do it: Fill the pot with a mixture of potting soil and garden soil. Plant the large thimble in the center of the pot as an exclamation mark. Plant Helichrysum petiolare, lavender and screen plants around. At the far end, silver kidney sedge, petunia and butterfly flower are planted. Plant all the plants close together and alternate. When you have planted all the plants, you can increase the effect of a bouquet-like appearance by "twisting" the plants into each other.

Beautiful spring interplanting
Fill the pot with a mixture of potting soil and garden soil in autumn and place the tulip bulbs. In the spring, when the tulips have come up well, you can plant the rest of the pot. Plant the quan in the middle. Finally, red clover is planted, Sct. John's wort and chocolate flowers densely and alternately between the tulips. Make sure to plant right up to the edge of the pot, all the way around. Mix the plants together so that you create the bouquet effect! Again, you can choose other plants. It doesn't have to be the same ones that we have chosen here. Just that they dress each other and that they are different heights.
