Nostalgic table setting with a touch of nature

We are visiting "Jane's Flower Universe". The Christmas table is set in Jane's beloved orangery, and it is rustic with lots of nature and beautiful, old earthenware. The tablecloth is made of jute fabric, and in the middle she has made a table runner from an old piece of wood. The plates are antique faience from Villeroy & Boch. The glasses are fine, old Holmegaard glasses, Vibeholm, which Jane inherited from her grandmother. The cutlery is mixed antique silver cutlery.

The plates are decorated with old cloth napkins, and Jane has put on an old glass bell and a small piece of red fir with tinsel. There is a small, old star candle with Christmas tree lights in it next to each envelope. The table is decorated with old red clay pots with Christmas roses, pots with cushion moss and brass candle holders with candles, which are placed in each pot. Jane has also used small bottles for bouquets of hyacinths and Christmas roses.

It is all beautifully arranged on the runner in the middle of the table. In several places in the orangery, there are vases with amaryllis. Behind the Christmas table, Jane has placed a Christmas tree without needles, which she has decorated with various antique glass ornaments. The chandelier above the table is for candles, and it has been decorated with old metal bells, pine branches and larch branches. When the wood-burning stove is lit and there are plenty of candles, the family can keep warm in the orangery. Jane says that it is the most beautiful place to be - even in winter.
