20 December: Last minute decorations from cardboard rolls

These stars are made from the cardboard rolls from toilet paper and kitchen roll. They are perfect for hanging in a window, on the Christmas tree or on a coat rack along with a small sprig of something green. Use them as a little extra nice decoration on the Christmas presents. That way, the recipient also gets a cozy little extra gift. You can use the same technique to make stars out of the pages of an old book. However, they become a little softer.

You will need:
Cardboard tubes and/or paper
Saks
Lim
Glimmer
String or sewing thread

Here's how you do it:
Fold the cardboard tube in half and cut it into thin strips. If you use paper, you cut strips of it. Depending on how wide you want your star to be, you can make them narrower or wider. These are approx. ½ cm wide. Glue the sides together to form a star. A very simple version is to make a "wreath", but you can also make the star with several strips. For example, you can bend some of them in half, glue them into the larger hole and then fill up again with more strips between the pieces of cardboard. When you're done, add some glue to the edges and sprinkle glitter on.
