December is just around the corner – filled with coziness, light and warmth. As Vibeke writes so beautifully in her Christmas article in this issue, this time is not about everything we have to achieve, but about everything we can choose to enjoy. I recognize myself in her words, because it is something I have often written here in the magazine and in my books – but it bears repeating. Because it is easy to get carried away by the current and race through December. It is just such a shame, because before we look back, this magical time is over, and we did not even get to enjoy it as we wanted to. Christmas is an opportunity to slow down. To find joy in the simple, as Vibeke also describes: a little baking, a quiet moment in the glow of candles, creative pursuits or time with those we love. A handwritten card, a homemade gift or just a warm word – it is often the little things that touch us the most. In simplicity lies the genuine and the warm.
I hope you are inspired by our approach to Christmas here at the magazine. Many of the articles in this issue reflect the relaxed and personal way that the people we visit choose to celebrate Christmas. There are no perfect Christmas tables or decorations here that are meant to impress, but there are ideas that can make your home and your December warm and cozy, without requiring hours of hard work or great effort. It is completely okay to choose the easy solutions. The most important thing is that they feel right to you.
This issue is also the last of the year – and I honestly don’t understand where 2025 went. It feels like the year flew by even faster than previous years. But perhaps that’s why it’s extra important to stop and enjoy the little moments here in December. Thank you so much, dear reader.
