Issue 1 2026 - out December 29th

A new year lies before us like a blank piece of paper, ready to be filled with dreams, plans and great experiences. When the calendar turns to January, I always feel like looking ahead and thinking about what I want the year to bring.

Some years are marked by big projects and practical plans: Dreams of a new herb garden, a flower bed or perhaps a house project that needs to be brought to life. It's nice to sit here in the winter darkness and draw little sketches, buy seeds and let your thoughts fly towards spring. But this year I've chosen to turn down the practicality a bit and instead focus more on presence.

I have promised both myself and Lars that we will remember to create little "breathing spaces" in everyday life. Time for each other and for our close relationships. Because that is really what makes life rich. Just as we make annual calendars and plan trips, trips and events here at the editorial office, it also makes good sense to plan time for close values. It is not only okay, it is necessary. I was inspired by a couple that we took on one of our trips last year.

They have decided to set aside a weekend for each other every month. Sometimes they go on a trip, other times they stay home. The most important thing is to be present together without TV and phones – and it doesn't really matter whether dinner consists of homemade meatballs or a visit to a restaurant. It's all about being together.

In this issue of the magazine you will also find a small theme about wellness, which may inspire you to create your own little moment of well-being in your everyday life. In addition, you can look forward to food articles from Rossella, which Sif and I had the pleasure of having on one of our retreats. You will also get inspiration to start your own small vegetable garden or flower garden. Christine takes us through the year in her cozy garden and gives you lots of tips and ideas along the way. As always, in the upcoming issues you will find lots of beautiful, inspiring and personal homes, DIY ideas, food, flowers and maybe also some inspiration for trips to special places. We look forward to starting a new year with you – a year filled with inspiration, peace, presence and the small joys of everyday life.

Love
Vivian
