Issue 1 2024
We start the new year off by visiting five absolutely wonderful and beautiful homes. Winter is the perfect time for indoor creativity, which is why we give you inspiration for decorating creative corners. We make easy and delicious food, and of course we are also creative with nice things that you can make yourself. 2024 is the anniversary year for the magazine. We're turning 15, and we're celebrating with a look back at the first magazine we published.
Today I want to tell you a little fairy tale, which is true... Once upon a time there lived a woman named Vivian in a cozy little town far out in the countryside. She was an ordinary housewife who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as baking and cooking for the family, arranging beautiful bouquets of flowers and turning her home into an oasis of warmth and coziness. The creativity was great, because the money was small, but the joy of finding the good things at second-hand markets and transforming them so that they fit into the home was infinitely great. Her heart harbored a deep love for the Nordic, country style with a touch of French, and this passion would lead her on an extraordinary journey.
One sunny morning 20 years ago, when Vivian was visiting her friend for coffee, an idea arose. "Why not do articles about all the things we love, like home decor, creativity, recycling, cooking and flowers?" With newfound determination, they embarked on a journey to make the dream a reality.
They gathered all the knowledge they could and began to write articles for magazines, write books and even have things produced for the home that fit the style. 15 years ago they started this magazine and wrote articles about rustic, French-inspired decor, shared creative ideas and wonderful recipes and gave tips for creating enchanting floral arrangements. With each issue, Vivian's love for her work grew and her bond with her readers grew stronger. There was no doubt that this was the child of her heart.
In the early years it was not always easy. Vivian juggled domestic duties, raising her children and taking part in the making of the magazine, all while taking care of the rest of the business. Late nights turned into early mornings, but her unwavering dedication kept her going. She often considered giving up, but the support of her readers and the sense of living her passion that she got from her work kept her going. She created a loyal readership that shared her passion for both romantic and rustic charm, mixed with a touch of French finesse. Her magazine became a source of inspiration for countless creative people around the world. Look it's a real adventure...

Now, on this special day, 15 years after the first magazine saw the light of day, I look back on my journey with pride and gratitude. My life has become a testimony to my love for living in a country style, and it is the proof that you can turn your hobby into your livelihood when the will and passion are there. Surrounded by my family and my amazing collaborators, as well as in the mind of a team of dedicated people who have been part of the journey, I raise my glass and offer a toast. "Cheers to 15 years of love, creativity and sharing our passion with the world!" My heart fills with joy when I think about how much I love my work and when I send a thought to my readers who have become like extended family. I can feel that I am exactly where I need to be. My journey from being an ordinary housewife to being a successful magazine creator has been incredible. I feel blessed to have turned my passion into my life's work, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for Jeanne d'arc Living. With the same love, dedication and a touch of the charming French world, I know I will continue to inspire and delight my readers for many years to come.
A very happy New Year and THANK YOU for you!
Hugs from Vivian
