Rustic cutting board
We love rustic cutting boards. They are so beautiful to have standing out in the kitchen for decoration and for use. It is a good idea to place many together - preferably in different sizes, shapes and color shades. Tine has been on a trip around the markets to find a lot of old cutting boards, but you can also buy a lot of nice, new cutting boards, which you can mix and match or use exclusively. Put them together in a group against the wall in your kitchen. To that extent, they bring to mind the times of yore, when rough home cooking was made in rural kitchens. They stand for the authentic country style and can add charm to even the most modern kitchen. In fact, the wooden cutting boards suit all styles. Special cutting board in warm woods.
Good tips before use.
If you want to use the cutting boards for anything other than decoration, you must wash them with a brush and regular washing-up liquid. Then scald them with boiling water and let them dry. It is best not to finish them with either varnish or oil. This method is the most hygienic, as the bacteria do not survive very well in dried wood. If you would like to treat the cutting boards, it is best to use ordinary, neutral cooking oil, but remember to wash them well after each use.
The decorative cutting boards are also great for arranging food on when you make a buffet – a bit like "plates" – or for a tapas arrangement.
