Rustic charm in Kerteminde
Welcome to a look into Tine and Tommy's home, back in 2020. Tommy is a carpenter, and Tine also has her hands full, so they do it all themselves. Tine also has the shop www.villekullashop.dk with antiques from Southern Europe, mainly from France. The shop is also available in physical form in Kerteminde, where they live.
The style is simple, raw and industrial, and it includes lots of antiques in the rustic style. She finds the furniture for both the private home and the shop in Sweden, France and other southern European countries. Even if you have worked in the industry for many years, as Tine has, she still gets excited when fantastic, old things appear on a market. It is an excitement that will always follow her.
The kitchen is almost new and has the most beautiful concrete floor, a raw brick wall, subway tiles on the walls and a huge stove. Tine loves to cook and is originally trained as a nutritionist, so the kitchen is used extensively. Some of the things that are particularly trendy right now, says Tine, are beautiful, old ceramic jars and jugs, old cutting boards and wooden boxes and dishes. All types of furniture where the original paint is still present and which at the same time has plenty of patina are also still very popular.
In the bedroom, there is a slightly more romantic style with floral wallpaper and pastel colours. The radiator covers were made by Tommy many years ago, and they fit perfectly with the original style of the house. There is also room for a combined storage and study room now that the children have moved away from home. Here, plenty of archive boxes keep track of everything and create peace and order.
