Artist with something on his mind
Elisabeth Pyntlund is a Norwegian artist who has a very special message in her paintings. "They convey feelings, and are in the borderland between dream and reality, in the border between our world and the spiritual world," says Elisabeth. The colors are always delicate and dusky. In several of the motifs, it is people who go through hardship together and come out of the light/ up the hill again. As Elisabeth says: "Behind the facade, most people have experienced adversity in life. Standing together in difficult times is important." This is surely one of the reasons why her paintings appeal to so many.
In our summer issue 2023, issue 5 which will be published in July, we visit Elisabeth and Søren's former summer house in Denmark. A Danish artist has actually lived here in the past, so you can rightly call it an artist's residence. The house is beautifully located in the first row facing the sea and has the most beautiful light imaginable. See some of the pictures at the bottom of the page here.
