Furnished with flea market finds

It's really fun to give yourself the task of decorating an entire room with flea market finds. It requires you to think a little creatively and be open to the possibilities that arise. It's not always that there are exactly the things you want when you start your recycling hunt. However, we are always surprised by how good the result ends up being when we're finished. We almost always say to each other "I could live here" - and then you have to say that the task has been successful.

The dining room here is furnished with a mix of things that we have been given as gifts and things from two flea markets/shops. I got the table from a friend and the chairs were at a flea market for 50 kroner each. How lucky can you be? They were a bit of a funny brown-green color, though, which didn't really go with anything. So we painted them with Vintage Paint in the color "Antique cream". The table was thoroughly cleaned and antique wax in the color "Brown" was applied to the top. The lamp had to be taken to an electrician to get the power connected.

Cutlery, glass and porcelain can almost always be found cheaply in second-hand shops, especially if you are not fussy about them being the same. We think it is super nice to mix different things. It only makes the table setting and decor more charming. We found the blue-painted furniture, the Jesus figure and the tableware at "Hos Sibylles" in Løgstør at good prices. The furniture has a nice color and a beautiful natural wear that would be a shame to paint over, we thought. The color really brings a summer atmosphere into the house. A beautiful bouquet of summer flowers on the table, and your guests will definitely feel very welcome in your new dining room.
