Spring table

with homemade charm and green details

When spring knocks and the light streams in through the windows again, it's a good idea to gather family and friends for a cozy Easter lunch. The table here is set with love for detail – a mix of recycled materials, natural materials and personal solutions. The cutest erantis have been painted on the frame, which immediately brings the gentle colors of spring and Easter to the table. The fine, green glasses and the hand-painted porcelain go beautifully with the simple, nature-inspired decoration in the middle of the table: An old feeding trough for chickens, filled with bulbous plants, moss and small branches, just about to pop out. A simple and creative table decoration that exudes spring and life.

The curtains are made of linen, while the tablecloth and napkins are sewn from cotton. If you can't find napkins in the right color or size, make them yourself – like here, where they are cut from the same fabric as the tablecloth. The fabric can also be used as a bedspread or picnic tablecloth, and the napkins are tied in a modern way that creates a relaxed yet elegant look. Feel free to use a tea towel if you want extra size and structure.

The furniture around the table is all old finds from flea markets – worn, charming and full of history. They give the whole character and emphasize that it is not about perfection, but about the personal and cozy.

A spring table like this is easy to recreate – and it shows that simple is often the most beautiful.
