The small difference that gives a big wow effect

Are you missing a little wow effect in your decor? Have you already moved furniture and things around many times but are missing the one detail that makes everything look "new"? Then it can be a fun idea to paint your dining table chairs in different colours, or put up wallpaper - either on a single wall or in the whole room.

If all your dining chairs are the same, you can paint them in different colours. If you are afraid that there will be too many colours, you can advantageously paint them in the same scale of tones. That is, for example, different colors where all are in light tones, or all in dark tones. That way it doesn't get too wild overall.

Conversely, if all your dining chairs are different, you can try painting them the same color. If your decor is very neutral, you can throw yourself into painting a slightly more daring color that doesn't shout too much - e.g. an elegant, deep dark red, plum color, or a strong blue. If you are more into light, it could be fresh bright colors such as dusty yellow or light dusty green.

Another detail that can really transform a room is wallpaper. Use it on a single wall or go all-in and wallpaper the entire room. It gives a wow effect and looks very complete. It doesn't seem so violent if you choose a wallpaper with a small pattern (and there will also be less waste of the wallpaper when you have to put it up and have to make the tracks fit in the pattern)

If you want change with a wow effect, it is not enough to change things and trinkets. Think in terms of larger surfaces such as walls, floors, or how you use materials differently. Get more inspiration for how to change a room on larger surfaces by going to Pinterest and searching for restaurant and cafe decor. Notice the color combinations, patterns and the large surfaces. It is often these details that give the completed effect in a room.

Have fun with your own project!
