When you are decorating a terrace or an orangery, you can allow yourself to play a little more with different styles, which are not necessarily the same as in your home. Here we show you how much of a difference it makes when you play with colors and interior. You can of course also use the ideas in your living room.

The style you see here is quite popular – especially among young people. It is a beautiful offshoot of what we call retro, where colors, materials and patterns from the 1960s and 1970s are used. You give your interior the Japanese touch by adding roller blinds, bamboo mats and furniture, a day bed and wooden bowls, among other things. Rice paper lamps and chopsticks emphasize the Japanese. You almost feel that there is room for meditation and contemplation here. Here you feel like slowing down and just relaxing, putting on soft music and lighting an incense stick.

The plants are also worth choosing carefully for this style. Choose bamboo or flowers that are old varieties - preferably with colors on them. Combine different textiles with graphic patterns and lots of colors. Here the woodwork is painted with the color "Soft linen" from Vintage Paint, which provides a calm background for all the colors. Yellow is pervasive and is one of the colors that is still very popular in almost all shades. We associate the muted, curry yellow color with the oriental, and the same applies to light wood and bamboo. This color is very beautiful on old ceramics and stoneware, which are also still popular.
