French Guest Dinner
Feast Rustic
The theme of this wonderful guest menu is French. Not finer French cooking, but the more rustic, smooth and simple version of French country cuisine. Here, it is the good ingredients and the cozy get-together that are at the fore. The menu here consists of five small dishes, all classic French. French onion soup Ratatouille, Moule marinière og Crepes Suzette. Click on the name of the dish and you will be linked directly to the individual recipe. Welcome!
The table setting is informal and cosy. We have made a table from a rustic, old gate, above a couple of old painter's easels and added a couple of benches. We have filled the benches with cozy leather and cushions. On each envelope we have placed a file de fer placemats on which the menu card is located. On a paper bag we have written the French words for the dishes. On top of this a small bundle of herbs. The service is exclusively various old plates. The same goes for napkins, cutlery and glasses. It only gives an extra charm that things are different - also when you invite guests. In the middle of the table, we have filled an old wooden dish with moss and lots of onion growth. In order not to damage the dish, we have put plastic in the bottom, under the moss. The onion growths have their own "water supply" in the form of the onion and therefore do not need additional water. Always use things that can either be brought in from nature or that are in season, so they can be bought cheaply at the florist. Then you can easily make a nice table setting for no money.
Happy Easter to you.
