A la Provence
As soon as you step through the door of the cozy little shop, the very special scent that is so characteristic of dried flowers comes and you are completely overwhelmed by the beautiful sight of all the bouquets, wreaths and decorations. The dried flowers have made a comeback to that extent, in these times when we are getting more and more focus on sustainability. The dried flowers last a long time and therefore do not burden our planet to the same extent as fresh flowers.
We are constantly working to find new inspiration for our readers at the magazine. This week we therefore visited A la Provence to talk about a possible collaboration in the magazine. Henrik and Susanne do all the work with the flowers themselves, from growing and drying to tying bouquets and wreaths. It all takes place on top of that on their own land register. Often when you buy dried flowers, they are not grown in Denmark, but transported from far away - and it is a burden on the environment anyway. The vast majority are not grown organically either. You will be able to follow the work from end to end and get plenty of inspiration for what you can do with dried flowers, from issue 3, 2023.
Susanne is a trained flower decorator and makes the finest things all year round. Right now, of course, it's all about Christmas.
