20. December
Uhh... it's nice, both the common and the small-leaved holly. A really classic Christmas green item, which has been somewhat forgotten in recent years. What a pity. We have made a nice vine for the old mantel mirror, for the chandelier and for the men's closet and otherwise used it as a table decoration. For place cards, it's just a single leaf that has been glittered around the edge and written on with a silver marker. For the candlesticks we have made a small wreath, on steel wire. It could also be used as a napkin ring. On the dish is a "tree" made by gluing the leaves onto a cone of oasis.
The table is covered with an old mussel-painted frame from Royal Copenhagen, old silver cutlery and newer glasses with chiselling. The wall you see above the dining table is wallpapered with pages from an old newspaper.
The combination of the bright room, fine old frames and the rustic table, which was completely original, is super nice, together with the decorations made of holly.
