Rustic, French country style in the orangery

When you are decorating a terrace or an orangery, you can allow yourself to play a little more with different styles, which are not necessarily the same as in your home. Here we show you how much of a difference it makes when you play with colors and interior. You can of course also use the ideas in your living room.

In one corner we have hung a large hammock with lots of cushions and blankets. Here you can lie down and enjoy the view over the fields. Herbs and green plants, such as olive trees and eucalyptus, are part of the country style. Green plants without flowers are also nice. Plant them in beautiful, old baskets and rustic pots. Decorate with lots of baskets, which are hung from the ceiling together with lanterns.

Decorate with furniture in wood and metal. Find recycled furniture or furniture made from recycled wood. The surfaces can be raw and rustic. Give the style a little contrast with a few romantic cushions and a beautiful, old frame. This frame is the same green color as the panel walls.

Fill up with lots of old jam jars, rustic bowls and jugs and earthenware jars. In terms of color, you don't have to challenge the eye in this style, because everything is in muted colors and natural materials. Wood, wicker, iron, earthenware are a must - preferably with a patina. It shouldn't be too "pretty" in this style. Always choose earthy colors and natural colors such as greenish, brown and beige shades. Then you're well on your way.
