11. December
Plaster is an exciting material and you can buy rolls of plaster strips which can be used for all sorts of fun things. Maybe you know them from childhood? Here we have used them to make slightly different Christmas decorations. I'm actually quite fond of the wreath we got made. Inside there is a flamingo ring. It is covered with the plaster strips, which are simply dipped in water and laid on. Let the wreath dry and decorate it with paper and ribbon. We have included candle holders here, but you can also hang it on a string on your door or a coat rack.
Many times it is the case that when you first get started, more ideas come to you. Especially if you are with others. That is why it is always so good to meet at courses and workshops. Regardless of how creative you are, it's just great to be with others and get inspiration. That's how it is when we hold workshops here at Kærby Mølle and that's how it's always been at the editorial office. When we are together, new ideas emerge. It gives a boost to the mood.
When we made the article here, it therefore - as often - turned into many more things than we had originally planned. Letters were made, cut out of flamingo and covered with plaster, after which they were decorated.. various ornaments were cut out of cardboard, and peddlers' houses were made which were covered with plaster and decorated with glossy images, filigree, ribbons and old lace. The possibilities are many, you just have to throw yourself into it. Have fun.
