The funnest recycling is when you find yourself using/reusing some things that can no longer be used - for a purpose other than the original one. Some examples of that are the three things you see in the pictures here. They can be used all year round and not just up to Christmas. They will also make a fun Christmas gift to receive if you know someone who loves recycling. Recycled Christmas presents are one of the things that are being fought for these days.

The old sole dish is beautiful and has a fantastic patina after many years of use. They are available in many sizes and are obvious to use for a huge Christmas decoration. You can choose to make the simple version and simply place 4 large block lights and add some greenery, or you can fill it with clay and moss and make a real decoration in it. depending on the season, it can be decorated with different greenery and, for example, large eggs and feathers for Easter, flowers and lanterns on the terrace in summer and pumpkins in autumn.

The old twine rolls have served their time for their original purpose and will often be thrown out afterwards. Fortunately, there are many who have been good at saving everything over time and therefore you often find these at flea markets around Europe. Use them as candle holders for Christmas tree lights or put a candle holder in the hole so they can be used for crown lights. They are super cute all year round.

The last thing that is a fun stand is a part from an old door handle. It is a little difficult to see in the picture here, but it is simply the rosette that the handle has been on. When houses are renovated, they are often thrown out and at flea markets you can often find them in clutter boxes, or still sitting on the old doors. Old doors can really be used for many things too, I love them - but we'll talk about that another day. Here it is the rosette, which is just right for a small Christmas tree light. Perfect for a small Christmas display.
